Hi, I’m Kim Garrett - Innovation and Brand Strategy Consultant
serving startups and corporate venture studios

 

I started my career with a leap into venture building, taking on the challenge of innovating in natural skincare. As co-founder and CEO of Rooted Beauty, I developed a brand strategy and product line that gained retail traction and was ultimately acquired by Seventh Generation. Following the acquisition, I managed the brand to refine its position and build out proprietary innovations, such as Root 7 Complex, that were ultimately acquired by Unilever and Grove Collaborative.

After this exit, I began consulting through my own private practice and a partnership with the Innovation Institute and Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh. Over the past decade, I have led clients of all sizes to expanded growth opportunities through the development of brand concepts, new products, and go-to-market strategies.
